Membership

You don't have to be a Ham to join the Oro Valley Amateur Radio Club. You only need an interest in Ham radio and a desire to be involved in a great club devoted to the hobby.

 

If you would like to become a Licensed Amateur Radio Operator, OVARC regularly conducts classes to help interested individuals earn their Technician and General licenses.

 

OVARC conducts license testing on the third Friday of each month. Newly licensed Hams can also take advantage of our Elmer program. Contact one of our board members to get more information. 

 

Membership dues are $25 per calendar year.

Additional family members can join for $15 each per calendar year.
 

New members must fill out an "Application for Membership" and bring it to a meeting, club event or mail it to the address below.  NOTE: Existing members who are renewing do not need to fill out an application unless they are making administrative changes (address, family members, etc.)

Payment

Dues cost

Member only: $25.00USD

Member +1: $40.00USD

Member + 2: $55.00USD

Member + 3: $70.00USD

You can pay your dues in any of the following ways:

1.  Cash in person at a meeting/event with your application.

      DO NOT SEND CASH IN THE MAIL !!!

2.  Check (payable to OVARC) with your application in person at a meeting/event or mailed together to the address below.

3.  Zelle (preferred because we pay NO FEE !)

Signup for Zelle thru your bank.  Most US Banks support Zelle which is a secure payment method that you can use for most financial transactions, not just OVARC.  Once you have setup Zelle, just select "Transfers" from your banking app.  Enter "Treasurer@TucsonHamRadio.org" as the payee, enter the dues amount ($25, $40, $55 or $70) and hit submit.  It's that simple !!

4.  PayPal (we have to pay a fee for PayPal & credit card transactions !!)

If you do not have a PayPal account you can use PayPal to pay with a credit or debit card. Click the Pay Now button and on the PayPal login page, click the Pay with Credit or Debit Card button under the Log In button.

​NOTE: If you pay by Zelle or Paypal and present your application in person or send it via mail, once our treasurer reconciles the payment with your application, it will be processed.
